I’m liking this new path around Squaw Peak in PHX. I park over at Dreamy Draw Park off the 51. Good odds of finding parking and a lot of good paths. I generally follow the 1A which connects with the Circumference Trail which winds around the mountain. Then it goes up and over one section of the mountain and you get a pretty nice view. After that I tried a couple different paths down and wound around some new to me trails.
And for entertainment, since I have been reading so much this weekend thought I would keep going while on the hike. I downloaded a few audiobooks from Audible and made some progress on Lucifer’s Hammer by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle. I’d heard Jerry on several episodes of TWIT and when they would talk about about publishing or where to find his works this was one of the works regularly mentioned.
All in all, it was a beautiful day and not too hot. I just got a call from Toni about her Tough Mudder where she was actually shocked with electricity in one of the obstacles. Yeah… I’ll take my nice little hike.
