I’ve had many awesome women managers and even more female co-workers who I would work with again in a heartbeat if given a chance. Now that I’m running a team, in a position to influence hiring in the org, and in daily discussions about how to support equality in the workforce, it made sense to pick this up.

Anyway… about 10% through after a dinner with the kindle and liking the points made. It’s not revolutionary… much of it just makes sense. It also dovetails nicely with the conversations Toni and I have been having for the last couple months since she got involved in the GoDaddy Women in Tech initiative. Yes, women can make a difference by changing the bits they control around how they think and get out of the habit of holding themselves back but it is also interesting to reflect on how their male partners can step up and help.

Anyway, 10% done but interesting so far! More as I make progress and to all the women in my work and personal life who’ve done so much to help shape me as a man and coworker… thanks!
